...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN GUADALUPE COUNTY
UNTIL 715 PM MDT...

At 656 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Colonias, or 14 miles northwest of Santa Rosa, moving northeast at
35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
  Colonias and Santa Rosa Lake State Park.

This includes Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 255 and 268.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
