...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT CENTRAL LINCOLN COUNTY UNTIL
215 PM MDT...

At 158 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Lincoln State Monument, or 15 miles northeast of Ruidoso, moving
south at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
  Ruidoso, Lincoln, Lincoln State Monument and Fort Stanton.

This includes Highway 380 between Mile Markers 88 and 102.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.

Accumulations of small hail on roads can create very slick and
hazardous driving conditions.

Motorists can expect brief but sudden changes in visibility and
ponding of water on roadways as storms move through the area.
