...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN QUAY COUNTY UNTIL
615 PM MDT...

At 525 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9
miles west of Wheatland, or 22 miles southeast of Tucumcari, moving
northeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
  San Jon, Wheatland and Bard.

This includes Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 342 and 369.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional
information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
