...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN GUADALUPE COUNTY
UNTIL 615 PM MDT...

At 545 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles north of Pastura, or 16 miles west of Santa Rosa, moving
northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
  Santa Rosa Lake State Park and Pintada.

This includes Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 254 and 272.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional
information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

Motorists can expect brief but sudden changes in visibility and
ponding of water on roadways as storms move through the area.
