...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT BERNALILLO...SOUTH CENTRAL
SANDOVAL AND NORTHEASTERN CIBOLA COUNTIES UNTIL 630 PM MDT...

At 548 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 13
miles west of South Valley, or 15 miles west of Albuquerque, moving
northeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
  Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Bernalillo, Corrales, Los Ranchos De
  Albuquerque, Paradise Hills, Cabezon, Northern Meadows, Rio Rancho
  Intel Area and Rio Rancho City Center.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 135 and 161.
Highway 550 between Mile Markers 1 and 5...and
near Mile Marker 7.
Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 211 and 213...and
between Mile Markers 222 and 243.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.

Blowing dust associated with strong thunderstorm winds can reduce
visibility below one quarter mile at times.
