...AN AREA OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN
VALENCIA...NORTH CENTRAL SOCORRO AND WEST CENTRAL TORRANCE COUNTIES
UNTIL 730 PM MDT...
At 642 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking an area of strong
thunderstorms extending from 5 miles northwest of Isleta Pueblo to 9
miles east of San Acacia, moving northwest at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Los Lunas, Belen, Valencia, Veguita, Casa Colorada, Jarales,
Bernardo, Rio Communities, Los Trujillos-Gabaldon and La Joya.
This includes the following highways...
Highway 60 between Mile Markers 166 and 191. Interstate 25 between
Mile Markers 160 and 202.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
Blowing dust associated with these strong thunderstorm winds could
reduce visibility below three miles.
