...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT EAST CENTRAL MCKINLEY COUNTY
UNTIL 415 PM MDT...
At 343 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 19
miles east of Crownpoint, moving northeast at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Mainly rural areas of East Central McKinley County.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
