...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON TO 9 PM TODAY FOR
PORTIONS OF CENTRAL NM AND ALL OF EASTERN NM DUE TO STRONG WINDS
AND LOW HUMIDITY...

.A fire growing pattern will develop today with strong southwest
to west winds, low humidity, and above normal temperatures. Wind
gusts up to 60 mph are expected with near-single digit humidity
and locally extreme fire weather for parts of eastern NM. Winds
will taper off later this evening with increasing humidity and
much colder temperatures tonight.

...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 9 PM MDT
THIS EVENING...

* AREA AND TIMING...Northeast Plains (Zone 104), Middle Rio Grande
  Valley (Zone 106), Northeast Highlands (Zone 123), Sandia and
  Manzano Mountains (Zone 124), Central Highlands (Zone 125), and
  the East Central Plains (Zone 126) between noon and 9 PM today.

* 20 FOOT WINDS...Southwest to west winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts
  between 50 and 60 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Minimum values 10 to 15 percent.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
  Outdoor burning is not recommended.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Please advise the appropriate officials or fire crews in the
field of this Red Flag Warning.
