.DISCUSSION...
Light and variable winds at the fire location now will become
prevailing southerly by mid-to-late afternoon as humidity in to
the single-digit percentages. A stray gust to 13 to 18 mph will be
in the cards at the fire location between 3pm to 7pm MDT as well.
Otherwise, calm weather is forecast through Friday morning.
Prevailing southerly winds strengthen Friday afternoon with locally
critical fire weather conditions favored in and around the fire
location due to strong winds and very low humidity lasting into
the evening hours. Winds lessen Friday evening ahead of a frontal
boundary bringing an easterly wind shift through the gaps of the
Sandia/Manzano Mts Friday night. An increase in humidity behind
this front will be short-lived before dry southwesterly winds
return Saturday afternoon.
