.DISCUSSION...
Hot, very dry, and unstable conditions are forecast this week as a
strong high pressure system builds over New Mexico. The high
temperature will vary around 4-8 degrees above the 30-year average
each afternoon. The max mixing height will vary around 13,500 feet
Monday and Tuesday, then from 15,000 to 16,000 feet Wednesday through
Friday. Some elevated moisture will work its way around the
periphery of the high pressure system with a slight chance for gusty
virga showers as early as Tuesday evening, then a better chance
during the afternoon and evening Wednesday and Thursday. After about
nine hours of single digit minimum humidity on Monday, and three on
Tuesday, the humidity looks to bottom out around 10 degrees each
afternoon for the remainder of the work week.
