With a strong high pressure system persisting overhead, record and near-record high temperatures will continue west of the central mountain chain for the remainder of the work week. Pockets of critically low minimum humidity will return daily to the northwest plateau until Friday. Gulf moisture will increase areawide today, and to a lesser extent Thursday, with an uptick in storm coverage today into Thursday. After a brief downtick in storm coverage Friday, a more traditional plume of monsoon moisture will increase storm coverage areawide this weekend into early next week. ................................................................
