Drier air will move in from the southwest during the latter half of the week with decreasing coverage of showers and thunderstorms each day. Isolated virga showers and dry thunderstorms are expected from around Gallup to around Cuba this afternoon, and potentially as far northeast as Taos. Moist backdoor fronts will increase shower and thunderstorm coverage along and east of the central mountain chain Sunday, as far west as the continental divide Monday, and all of the way to the Arizona border Tuesday. The western edge of the moisture will probably feature some dry thunderstorms each day with wetting precip favoring locations along and east of the central mountain chain. ................................................................
