Widespread wetting precipitation will remain in the forecast this evening through the overnight, tapering off from west to east. It will be a much quieter pattern for Sunday although highs will stay several degrees below normal with minimum RH values dropping into the 15 to 22 percent range for many lower elevation sites. Expect moisture to return to the eastern plains of New Mexico during the work week period as a dryline sloshes back and forth. Expect daily rounds of showers and thunderstorms as a result. A backdoor front should invade eastern New Mexico for Thursday, and this could push its way into central valleys. There will likely be an increase in storm coverage along and east of the central mountain chain with a mixture of wet and dry cells and gusty outflow winds over central New Mexico for Thursday and Friday. ................................................................
