Critical fire weather conditions are not expected through at least the end of next week. A very wet Fall storm will bring rounds of showers and storms to the area this weekend, with the heaviest rain in eastern NM where 3-6" of rainfall is expected between now and Sunday night. Severe storms are possible in eastern NM this afternoon and again Sunday afternoon. Heavy, wet snow will fall above 9,500 ft where several inches of snow may accumulate. The storm system finally exits to the east on Monday, giving way to clear and tranquil weather with light winds Tuesday through the end of the week.
