A winter storm moving across the region through Saturday will bring widespread rain and snow with much colder temperatures. Heavy snow is expected in the northern mountains with several inches likely over parts of eastern NM. A ridge of high pressure is still expected to develop over the southwest U.S. next week with lower humidity, much warmer temperatures, and periodic breezes for eastern NM. The rain and snow this weekend is likely to help with green up across the area as temperatures warm next week. ................................................................
