Dry and windy conditions today over northeast NM will lead to a few hours of locally critical fire weather. Meanwhile, rain and snow showers will form again over northwest NM with gusty and erratic winds possible. Widespread rain and snow is expected Friday and Saturday as a weather system moves slowly east across NM. Several inches of snow are likely in the northern high terrain and across parts of eastern NM. Temperatures Saturday will be 25 to 40 degrees below normal. A warming trend will begin early next week with lower humidity and relatively light winds on most days through the end of next week. ................................................................
