541 FNUS55 KABQ 110826 FWFABQ Fire Weather Planning Forecast for North and Central New Mexico National Weather Service Albuquerque NM 226 AM MDT Mon Aug 11 2025 .DISCUSSION... Widespread minimum humidities near and below 15 percent are forecast west of the central mountain chain this afternoon with mainly isolated and gusty virga showers and dry thunderstorm across the Rio Grande Valley and over the West Central Basin and Range. Wetting precip will favor the central mountain chain eastward. A moderately gusty gap wind will draw Gulf moisture westward tonight, then the focus for wetting showers and thunderstorms will be over central parts of the fire weather forecast area Tuesday and Wednesday with some dry and gusty cells expected along and west of the continental divide. After downticks in storm coverage Wednesday and Thursday, a more traditional flow of monsoon thunderstorm pattern is expected over central and western areas at the end of the week. ................................................................
