481 FNUS55 KABQ 080732 FWFABQ Fire Weather Planning Forecast for North and Central New Mexico National Weather Service Albuquerque NM 132 AM MDT Wed Oct 8 2025 .DISCUSSION... Abundant low level moisture remains entrenched across eastern NM and into the Rio Grande Valley today. Low clouds and patchy fog with pockets of low visibility in the highlands just east of the central mountain chain will result this morning. Much of this will erode and clear out late this afternoon. Scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms will favor areas along the Continental Divide and parts of the central mountain chain into the Rio Grande Valley. Ventilation will be widespread poor across eastern NM, with fair to good ventilation over western NM today. Thursday thru the weekend sees a tap of subtropical moisture bringing off-and-on rounds of showers and thunderstorms mainly across AZ stretching into far western NM. This wetter weather pattern shifts eastward across the state Sunday, with an active weather pattern continuing into early next week. ................................................................
