877 FNUS55 KABQ 221236 FWFABQ Fire Weather Planning Forecast for North and Central New Mexico National Weather Service Albuquerque NM 636 AM MDT Tue Apr 22 2025 .DISCUSSION... Sub-15 percent humidities are forecast across the vast majority of the fire weather forecast area today until Thursday night and Friday, when a moist backdoor front will dive through the eastern plains and potentially into the central valley with a gusty gap wind below canyons. Moisture with the front will increase wetting thunderstorm chances mainly along and east of the central mountain chain Friday and Saturday. The potential exists for drier variety storms west of the central mountain chain to the continental divide Saturday afternoon. Also, dryline thunderstorms are forecast on the far eastern plains each afternoon and early evening today through Thursday. Southwest winds look to strengthen Sunday and Monday with the potential for fairly widespread critical fire weather conditions. ................................................................
