Main concern through Tuesday is elevated to locally critical fire weather conditions across the Central Highlands, especially Monday, due to increased northwesterly breezes and low humidity. Temperatures will continue to climb areawide through Monday before plateauing Tuesday. A cold front will sweep through the state on Wednesday dropping temperatures several degrees. Though ventilation will be good through Wednesday, poor ventilation may return for some areas Thursday and Friday. Then, a storm system will take aim on NM next weekend which may bring light precipitation and perhaps a few lightning strikes. Windier conditions may follow the storm system. ................................................................
