604 FNUS55 KABQ 072104 FWFABQ Fire Weather Planning Forecast for North and Central New Mexico National Weather Service Albuquerque NM 304 PM MDT Sat Jun 7 2025 .DISCUSSION... A few thunderstorms will continue across northeast NM this evening, with large hail and damaging wind gusts possible. On Sunday, thunderstorms will again be focused across northeast NM as a backdoor front slides through the area. The front will continue to push south and west Sunday evening, then through the gaps of the Central Mountain Chain early Monday. Gusty gap winds are expected at Albuquerque and Santa Fe. Low level moisture behind the front will push westward to the Continental Divide setting the stage for widespread showers and thunderstorms on Monday and Tuesday. Heavy rainfall may pose a flooding risk on burn scars. Storm coverage will lessen slightly on Wednesday, then drier air will move in from the west on Thursday, limiting convection further. ................................................................
