Moisture from the remnants of Hurricane Lorena may spread into the region beginning Thursday. The chance for showers and thunderstorms with areas of stratiform rain will increase, especially Friday and Saturday while a moist backdoor cold front moves southwest into the region. The threat for burn scar flooding will depend on the hourly rainfall rates and duration of moderate rainfall. High temperatures Friday and Saturday will also be 10 to 15 degrees below normal. A quieter pattern is expected next week with warming temperatures and light winds. ................................................................
