There are no critical fire weather conditions forecast for at least the next seven days. Showers and storms will move quickly east across the region today with brief heavy rain and strong winds. A backdoor cold front will enter eastern NM tonight with cooler temperatures for Tuesday and perhaps some more showers and storms. A stronger backdoor cold front will move into eastern NM Tuesday night with even cooler temperatures and widespread low clouds. Wednesday and Thursday will transition to drier conditions with lighter winds. A storm system approaching from the west on Friday may bring an extended period of unsettled weather to NM through next weekend. ................................................................
