Gusty winds over northeast New Mexico will continually diminish throughout the evening and become light by morning. This will result in the small area of critical fire conditions to quickly diminish as well. Fire weather conditions will be minimal for the end of the week as a late season winter storm will bring widespread precipitation. For parts of the northern mountains, several inches of snow will fall between Friday night and Saturday night. Temperatures for eastern New Mexico will be well below average with highs in the 30s and 40s on Saturday. Early next week, temperatures will begin to warm up as high pressure builds over the areas. conditions will be warm and breezy, but winds look to remain light. ................................................................
