Storms will tend to concentrate along and west of the central mountain chain today. Heavy downpours will accompany the stronger storms, but areas of soaking rainfall will be spotty. While prevailing winds will be light today, brief gusty outflow winds will develop with any passing showers or storms. On Tuesday and Wednesday rain chances will be highest over the west central and southwestern mountains, as well as the central mountain chain into the northeastern plains. Temperatures will tend to run near to above normal by 5 to 10 degrees each day through Wednesday, and humidity will typically fall to 25 to 35 percent each afternoon before recovering again overnight. Drier conditions with fewer storms will arrive Thursday, and especially Friday. ................................................................
