No critical fire weather conditions are expected for the next 7 days, however, elevated conditions are expected on Saturday and Sunday. Upper level ridging over the region today will result in poor ventilation areawide. Wind speeds slowly increase over the weekend which will improve ventilation. The highest wind speeds are expected across the western high terrain and along and just east of the Central Mountain Chain. Low relative humidity values today and Saturday will gradually trend upward next week as Pacific moisture is ushered into the state. A mix of rain and snow is expected at lower elevations starting Tuesday, while snow will prevail across the high terrain. Precipitation will persist across northern New Mexico through Thanksgiving morning.
