Storms today will favor the central mountain chain eastward, with drier conditions and lower humidities along and west of the Rio Grande Valley. A backdoor cold front will replenish moisture Sunday, increasing the coverage of showers and storms again. Scattered showers and storms will continue to favor the high terrain of western and northern New Mexico each afternoon next week. Temperatures will generally be several degrees above average next week and prevailing winds will be light outside of gusty outflow winds near showers and storms. ................................................................
