A pattern change toward wetter and cooler weather is still in store for much of the region through early next week. Northern NM will be the first to see greater coverage of showers and storms with heavy rainfall Saturday through Monday. Higher rain chances will spread to the entire region Tuesday through Thursday. Temperatures will also cool below normal by next week. Rainfall amounts over the 7-day period through next Thursday may average 0.50" to 1" over central and western NM with 2 to 4" across the northern mountains and northeast NM. ................................................................
