Showers and storms with locally heavy rainfall will move northward over NM today. A Flood Watch is in effect for parts of western NM. New fire starts are still possible from lightning strikes in dry fuels. Moisture will continue increasing over the region Thursday through Sunday with more locally heavy rainfall expected. The risk for new fire starts will decrease as the week progresses while the risk for flash flooding increases, especially around burn scars. ................................................................
