631 FNUS55 KABQ 062057 FWFABQ Fire Weather Planning Forecast for North and Central New Mexico National Weather Service Albuquerque NM 257 PM MDT Tue May 6 2025 .DISCUSSION... Cool temperatures and numerous showers and thunderstorms will continue through the evening as a low pressure system moves over New Mexico. Many locations have received significant soaking rainfall or high mountain snowfall, and with excellent humidity recovery forecast for tonight and again on Wednesday night, this will help keep fuels moist. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will redevelop Wednesday afternoon and evening with less locations receiving beneficial rainfall. Showers and thunderstorms will reduce more into Thursday and Friday while temperatures warm up closer to normal. After a slight increase in storms on Saturday, mainly in western New Mexico, a trend of less showers and thunderstorms will develop through early next week. Humidity values will also begin dropping by Monday and Tuesday of next week with breezy conditions becoming more common. ................................................................
