Central and western NM will remain very dry and hot today and Sunday but with less wind than Friday. Storm chances will increase across eastern NM today and Sunday with burn scar flash flooding possible on Sunday. A strong upper level ridge will take shape over western NM and AZ through next week. Very hot and dry conditions will likely continue for western NM. Showers and thunderstorms with locally heavy rainfall are still expected to impact areas along and east of the central mountain chain Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. ................................................................
