Showers and storms today will focus between the central mountain chain and the Continental Divide. This activity will move southwest and produce strong outflow winds and brief heavy rainfall. Friday will be drier with a few gusty showers and storms around the Four Corners and the northwest mountains. Storm coverage will increase Saturday through Monday across northern NM with locally heavy rainfall possible. This activity will move slowly south and east with burn scar flooding possible in the Sangre de Cristos. Storm coverage may increase even more Tuesday and Wednesday, including western NM. Temperatures will cool below normal beginning this weekend. ................................................................
