...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 515 PM MDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of central and northeast New Mexico, including
  the following counties, in central New Mexico, northeastern
  Torrance. In northeast New Mexico, southwestern San Miguel.

* WHEN...Until 515 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  River and stream flows are elevated.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 219 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream
    flooding. Between 0.75 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.75 inches are
    expected over the area. This additional rain will result in
    minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Encino, Villanueva State Park, Villanueva, Ribera and Sena.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Remember, ditches are deadly. A gentle flow of water can become a
raging torrent in a few minutes.
