...FLOOD ADVISORY FOR THE HERMITS PEAK CALF CANYON BURN SCAR IN
EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM MDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of northeast New Mexico, including the following
  county, western Mora.

* WHEN...Until 700 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 456 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream
    flooding. Between 0.25 and 0.75 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Minor washouts and light debris over roadways within the Mora
    County portion of Hermit`s Peak/Calf Canyon burn scar are
    likely.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Mora, Cleveland, Holman, Ledoux, Morphy Lake State Park, La
    Cueva, Chacon, Gascon, Monte Aplanado and South Carmen.
  - This advisory is focused over the Mora County portion of the
    Hermit`s Peak/Calf Canyon burn scar.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
