...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM MDT EARLY THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of east central and northeast New Mexico,
  including the following counties, in east central New Mexico, west
  central Quay. In northeast New Mexico, south central Harding and
  southeastern San Miguel.

* WHEN...Until 600 AM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 257 AM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream
    flooding. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Tucumcari, Logan, Conchas, Conchas Lake State Park, Conchas
    Dam, Ute Lake State Park and Bell Ranch.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
