The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Central Quay County in east central New Mexico...

* Until 1215 AM MDT.

* At 915 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of
  rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 1 inch
  are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or
  expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and washes flowing off
           the Caprock and into Plaza Larga and Reveulto Creek,
           as well as other nearby poor drainage and low-lying
           areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  San Jon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

In hilly or mountainous terrain there are numerous low water
crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not
attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
