The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Central Harding County in northeastern New Mexico...
  Northeastern San Miguel County in northeastern New Mexico...

* Until 900 AM MDT.

* At 757 AM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain
  have fallen between Solano and Mosquero along NM 39 and 419.
  Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.75 inches are possible in
  the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Mosquero, Solano and Bell Ranch.

NM 39 and 419 may be covered in water and dangerous to travel on
this morning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Both localized and distant heavy rainfall will create sudden and
dangerous flows in arroyos and over low water crossings.
