...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT MDT TONIGHT
FOR NORTHEASTERN GUADALUPE COUNTY...

At 1135 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 3.05 inches of rain have
fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.25 inches are possible
in the warned area. Flash flooding is likely ongoing.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Santa Rosa, Santa Rosa Lake State Park, Colonias, Puerto De Luna
  and Cuervo.

This includes Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 259 and 294.

Flash flooding is expected in Pintada Arroyo, Puerto Creek, Arroyo
San Juan de Dios, Arroyo Potrillo, and Salado Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
