...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM MDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central and west central New Mexico, including
  the following areas, in central New Mexico, San Agustin Plains and
  Adjacent Lowlands and South Central Mountains. In west central New
  Mexico, Southwest Mountains. This includes the Ruidoso area burn
  scars.

* WHEN...Until 9 PM MDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms will develop
    again this afternoon over the high terrain and eventually
    migrate into the lower elevations. The slow-moving nature of
    storms will result in rainfall rates that will exceed two
    inches per hour. The burn scars in the Ruidoso area as well
    as locations previously saturated from heavy rain earlier in
    the week will be the most susceptible to dangerous flash
    flooding.

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...Portions of east central, north central, and northeast New
  Mexico, including the following areas, in east central New Mexico,
  Guadalupe County and Quay County. In north central New Mexico,
  East Slopes Sangre de Cristo Mountains and Southern Sangre de
  Cristo Mountains. In northeast New Mexico, Eastern San Miguel
  County, Far Northeast Highlands, Harding County, Johnson and
  Bartlett Mesas Including Raton Pass, Northeast Highlands and Union
  County.

* WHEN...Through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms will erupt
    this afternoon over the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, and will
    eventually migrate into the northeast and east central plains
    by late afternoon through the evening hours. The stronger
    storms will be capable of rainfall rates that will exceed two
    inches per hour. The Hermit`s Peak / Calf Canyon burn scar
    and areas previously saturated by heavy rainfall earlier in
    the week will be the most susceptible to dangerous flash
    flooding.
