...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH MONDAY
EVENING...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central, north central, and northeast New
  Mexico, including the following areas, in central New Mexico,
  South Central Mountains. In north central New Mexico, East Slopes
  Sangre de Cristo Mountains and Southern Sangre de Cristo
  Mountains. In northeast New Mexico, Northeast Highlands. This
  includes Ruidoso and the burn scars surrounding the village as
  well as areas within and downstream of the Hermits Peak Calf
  Canyon burn scar.

* WHEN...From Monday afternoon through Monday evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Storm drains and
  ditches may become clogged with debris.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Slow moving thunderstorms with rainfall rates up to 2 inches
    per hour will create a high risk for burn scar flash
    flooding.
