SOUTHWESTERN PUTNAM...WESTERN KANAWHA AND NORTHEASTERN LINCOLN COUNTIES THROUGH 630 AM EDT... At 613 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Culloden, or near Hamlin, moving east at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Nitro, St. Albans, Hurricane, Poca, Culloden, Tornado, Alum Creek, and Teays Valley. This includes the following highways... Interstate 64 in West Virginia between mile markers 43 and 46. Route 119 between mile markers 66 and 67. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
