Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
446 PM EDT Thu Oct 31 2024

Increasing clouds are expected this evening ahead of a cold front
that will increase rain chances this evening and into the
overnight hours. The best chance for rain will come after sunset
across western Pennsylvania with showers breaking apart as they
continue moving eastward. Chances for rainfall decrease across the
eastern third of Pennsylvania, with the best chance of rainfall
coming during the early morning hours of Friday. A wide spread in
low temperatures is expected overnight with the cold frontal
passage, ranging from the mid-40s across northwestern Pennsylvania
to the mid-60s across southeastern Pennsylvania.

An increasing westerly wind on Friday will allow for continued
shower chances across northwestern Pennsylvania, although showers
will be scattered in nature. Dry conditions are expected to
prevail elsewhere, with breezy-to-gusty winds during the afternoon
and early evening hours leading to an elevated fire risk across
portions of southeastern Pennsylvania. High temperatures on Friday
will range from the lower 50s across northwestern Pennsylvania to
the upper 70s across near Philadelphia.

Dry conditions are expected to continue through Sunday evening,
with cooler temperatures on Saturday and temperatures trending
slightly warmer on Sunday.
